It cannot be denied that fanatics and players say fine words and overflowing words of flattery when Roger Federer is the topic. Simply because he had showcased amazing talent and tennis expertise over the years of his career which gained him a lot of achievements in the realm of Tennis. Currently, he is ranked as world's no. 3 by the Association of Tennis Professionals or ATP. Federer has already been in the top 3 seeded players in the ATP for the past ten years of his career. It's no surprise that other professional players and tennis sport authorities see him as one of the best tennis players the globe has seen.

Roger Federer is a citizen of both Switzerland and South Africa, having been born in August 8, 1981 to a Swiss father and a South African mother. He was already into sports way back in his childhood where basketball, cricket, badminton and football are among the sports he plays. As stated by him, this early exposure to various sports has helped him develop his hand to eye coordination and speed, important skills that have made him excel in tennis.

Roger Federer made it clear in his junior times that he is a tough player to beat. Even though he lost in the US Open in 1998, he managed to win in Wimbledon for both singles and doubles. Additionally, he kept winning and winning other tennis tournaments where he eventually hailed as the number one player in the year 1998. In that same year, he marked the starting of his professional tennis career.

His breakthrough as a professional male tennis player happened in 2003, when he triumphed in the singles in Wimbledon versus Mark Philippoussis. Within the same year, he won seven out of nine finals in the ATP Tour and finished the year by defeating Andre Agassi. As a result of his constant victories, he got the number two place. The next years continued to make his name notable in the world of tennis where he singlehandedly overcome several world competitions such as the French Open, Australian Open, US Open as well as Wimbledon. The following are some of the listing of triumphs he gained over the years of his tennis career: ITF World Champion in Men's Singles from 2004 to 2007; ESPY's Best Male Tennis Player from 2005 to 2010; ATP's Player of the Year from 2004 to 2007 and again in 2009, ATP Fan's Favorite Player from 2003 to 2012 etc. Roger Federer was at the world's top spot many times that he now holds the record of being in that place for the longest time, beating Pete Sampras' record.

Federer's success in tennis was made possible because of his swiftness, force, versatility, power, style, and fluidity. According to many sports analysts and critics, Federer's best stroke is his forehand that he can effectively deliver shots for the win. Furthermore, with his unequaled agility and speed, he definitely can hit backhand shots with his forehand shot that spectators will truly be up on their chairs with thrills watching him play. The great thing about Federer is he can always do well whatever the type of court or position he is at.
