Beanbag Games Are Fun For Everybody

By Megan Landry

If family fun is what you need at the moment, then beanbag games would be your best bet. These children-friendly games are safe for the entire family to enjoy at home, after all. They can be played indoors or outdoors, too, so you can have a good time when the sun is out in the afternoon or even when the clouds look grey.

A lot of people have been playing with beanbags for a while now and they have easily become their favorite playthings. What makes them so lovable is the fact that they cannot hurt anybody the way that other sharp and tough gaming equipment can. This means that even younger kids can play with them and you won't have to keep looking over your shoulder to make sure they are okay while they do, either.

If you happen to have toddlers around you who like to put everything in their mouths right now, then keep in mind that they shouldn't play with these toys, though. If they do, they may accidentally place the bags in their mouths and bring about unwanted accidents. As such, these toys would be more recommended for kids three years old or older instead. Adults can play them, too, though.

Whether you are there to supervise or not, you should make a board for the kids beforehand that involve their favorite carton characters. Then, place holes of different sizes on the board. Get the bags ready for them, too.

The aim of the game is to get the bags into one of the holes. Points will be awarded depending on the hole's size after the bag makes it through. Smaller holes will equal to more points. Older children will especially love this scoring system because they should already understand how points work, in general.

Younger children, on the other hand, won't care very much about scoring, so you can just have them play for fun. Create bigger holes for them and help them shoot their bags into the hole. Once they achieve this on their own, they will already feel like major winners.

For adults, there are many games that are specially made to be played outdoors. A lot of the time, though, they will consist of a wooden board in the shape of a rectangle that has a hole located on the very top part. As with the kid's version, the main goal would be to shoot the bag in the hole.

Naturally, this comes with more difficulty, though, since the mechanics will also require a distance form where the bean bags have to be tossed by the players. Whoever shoots the bag well will be deemed the winner. Without a doubt, beanbag games are a ton of fun and can provide the entire family with a whole afternoon of excitement spent together.
