Very Powerful Basic Muay Thai Dallas Combos

By Steven Thompson

Because Muay Thai makes use of 8 different parts of the body, it contains many more combinations as compared to regular boxing. Known as the science of eight limbs, the combat sport makes use of the hands, the legs, the knees, and the elbows. If one would want to learn more about how to fight using this art, here are some of the basic muay thai dallas combinations that he might be interested in.

Now, one of the most interesting things to note about this martial art is that it is coined as the science of eight limbs. This is because practitioners have eight limbs that they can use for combat. These eight limbs are the hands, the shins, the elbows, and the knees. When one combines all of these limbs together, it is possible to unleash deadly attacks to bring down opponents right away.

First of all, one would usually start by learning the punches. Just like the boxing punches, one will be learning the usual jab, cross, uppercut, and the swing punch. The most basic combination that one would learn when it comes to punching would be the one two punch which involves a jab and a cross.

Another punching combo can be the upper cut swing combo. One will basically start with an uppercut with the front hand, then a swing with the back hand. One may even do two upper cuts followed by a swing punch to surprise the opponent and in the process, make a knock out.

Aside from the punches, another thing that one will learn would be the elbow strikes. The elbow strikes that one will learn are the upward, downward, and sideway elbow strikes. One can use them in combination with a jab in which the jab goes first followed by any of the elbow strikes. After that, one will also learn a one two elbow strike move wherein the front hand hits first then the back hand.

After the punches and the elbows, one will then move on to the kicks which are aimed either high, low, or in the middle. One kicking combo to learn would be the one two roundhouse kick wherein one uses the front leg to throw a kick followed by the back leg usually aimed at the head. One may also do a one two punch then kick to the gut.

Finally, one will be learning the knees strikes. These can go in conjunction with any of the moves mentioned above. When kicking, one can do a one two roundhouse kick followed by a knee from the back leg. One can even do a one two punch then a knee. Another option would be to go in for a knee right away then smash the opponent with another knee.

While these are just some of the basic combos offered in this combat art, they are actually the foundation for more combos. By perfecting these combos, one will already have a very powerful arsenal that can be used against strong opponents. Perfect these moves first before going on to the more advanced ones.
