Fundraising Through A Golf Tournament

By Bill Poter

When you are hosting a golfing event, most people have lots of questions about how to do it the right way. Where do I start and where do I go? These are all great questions and stuff you need to be thinking about when considering putting on a golfing event! That is why at Kingdom.golf, we are here to guide you though every step you take so you can make the most out of your golfing experience.

We approach a charity event or a corporate event the same way. We engage with whoever is hosting the tournament and then do a study and diagnostic test. Through each test we determine what exactly it is going to take to put on the tournament and if it is at all possible for you to make money. Once that step is finished we move on to the fundraising step of the event. This is the part that has got everyone fearful. But do not get too far ahead of yourself. You will be fine!

Start the process by having a $150 dollars up front so we can run you through our tests! This is a must. There are usually two meetings, one in person, and one over the phone. After meeting 1 is completed the next meeting is $250 dollars. There are other fees required at the start of each meeting as we progress in the tournament proceedings. What we charge is 15% of what the tournament brings in. If you would like to use some of our awesome tools like super tickets or auction assistance, you should be ready to pay more up front.

So what do we do first? We have to set in place the venue. This has to deal with where it is going to be held, what kind of drinks are going to be served, and what we are going to eat. This is all up to you, but I will have the final say because I do this for a living and you don't. This does not really have to do so much with golfing 'stuff' as it does with everything that goes along with golfing! Not very complicated is it? That is what I always say! Thanks for your help!

Phase 1, is the identification of the strategy, the venue, the overall financial and "other" goals, the recruitment of the Committee and the implementation of the Sponsorship strategy and securing your first sponsor. Not hardly any "golf" stuff is conducted at the beginning, because it's all about setting up for a successful fundraiser.

Our staff can conduct your event from the very start to the clean up of the event. No job is too big or too small for Kingdom.golf. Whatever it takes to get your business we will do.

We have one main goal in mind, falling in love with this golf tournament. That is what we do and what we live to do. Do not call someone who does not do this for a living and get them to try to put on a golf tournament. Get the experts at Kingdom.golf to lead you in the right path!
