You will also have to take good care of the items you have in your cabin. For those items, make sure that they are securely packed. The locker doors must also be well-secured so that they do not come open when in transit. Any loos item in your cabin will just cause damages to the inside of your boats' cabin.

There are parts of the sailboat that might b operated by battery. A good example of that would be engine hatch covers. For the battery operated parts, make certain that the batteries are disconnected. For the cables, they should be properly tied off too so that you can prevent contact while the sailboat is in transit.

You might have a situation where you need to move the watercraft during a cold day. When there is a possibility of a cold weather, it is important to properly protect the watercraft during the transit. Thus, it would be good if you can winterized the watercraft so that it can fare the travel even during a cold day.

Avoid having the dinghy moved on its davits. That should not be done at all cost. As much as possible, the dinghy must be properly secured and stored in the cabin. You may also securely lash and pad it within the cockpit. Either of these two are the proper ways to take care of the dinghy of the sailboat.

You can also opt to have a shrink-wrap. The shrink-wrap is one of the many items you can have for the sake of protecting the boats, especially against road tar, dirt, and engine exhaust. However, the possibility of tearing while in transit cannot be denied. To repair the tear, you can just use a tape for that.
