- Working with the right brand

Alright, before I start my review on Alpine Design products, I want to be sure that we're both on the same page on what company we're talking about. Alpine design is a clothing company that's privately owned by the sports chain Sports Authority. They mainly sell outdoor activity products such as tents, jackets, shoes.. etc. Now, Alpine Design isn't the same as Alpine Designs, with an ("S"). Alpine Designs was apparently a separate clothing company that existed in the 1960's, and sold basically the same products. The products I will be talking about in this article are manufactured by Alpine Design of Sports Authority, not Alpine Designs.

- Product design

Alpine Design produces clothing for both males and females. Their products are directly geared towards outdoor activities such as hiking or backpacking. Alpine Design is also very commonly known as a "budget brand." That is, it manufactures products for the outdoors man on a budget. I have owned two Alpine Design products so far, a pair of slippers and an Alpine Design hiker tent backpack. The slippers were fairly made and lasted me about 2 months before the sole started to tear out. It only got worse from there, as the sole tore more and more as I wore it. The backpack however, Is a product I still use to this day. It's lasted me a good five years camping trips so far. Their jackets are also well designed. They are made from 100% polyester and provide a decent protection from the elements.

- Impressive products

Though they may be considered a budget brand, they certainly have their strengths in superior product design. For me, their backpacks usually have held true. From their various styles of backpacks, they are made with the outdoors-man in mind. The featured Alpine design ruck sack backpack features padded shoulder straps for elevated comfort during your long hikes. In addition, it incorporates a main compartment with hydration sleeve for a quick and convenient use of your water. It's on the lighter side in terms of hiking backpacks. I'll soon be putting it on the real test by using it along with me on a hike. It is not really meant to hold multiple days worth of supplies, simply enough to support a few days worth of essentials. However, this will definitely be my next Alpine product purchase.

- Final thoughts

In conclusion, Alpine Design is a fairly designed and fairly priced brand that gets the job done. Their materials are some what "budget material" but accomplish their purpose. Some of their products might last a little longer than the others, like their clothing articles as compared to something like their slippers. If you're deciding to head out into the great outdoors and don't have the right material or too much to spend, Alpine Design could be a good choice for you.
