Making Some Spanish Lesson Plans

By Claudine Hodges

Teaching Spanish is not very easy of one does not make the necessary preparations in order to teach the students. It is for this reason that teachers will have to make spanish lesson plans first. Before one would teach a class, he has to make sure that he prepares a plan that has to be followed precisely so that he will not be confused with any of the lessons.

Now when making a basic lesson plan, one has to just stick to the basic lessons of the language. Of course the very first thing that he will be writing in his plan would be the introduction and the overview of the language. The students will be reviewing the alphabet a little bit and how it is applied here.

So the first thing to do, like in learning any language, is to break down the letters and then put them together in order to form words. So the first part of the plan would be learning about vocabulary and how to pronounce the words. The teacher would have to think up of exercises to do this so that the pronunciation of the students will get better.

Of course after one has learned to pronounce the syllables, the next thing to do would be to form words. Once one has already learned to form words, then he will learn all the different words in Spanish. During this stage, it is very important that the teacher would teach the student more and more words in order to increase his vocabulary.

Now after that, the next part of the curriculum would be about the basics of making a sentence. Now to start off, the teacher would first teach the parts of the sentence beginning with the nouns. Now the teacher may also include teaching about pronouns as well because nouns and pronouns are often used simultaneously anyway as to be able to maximize time.

Of course the next thing that should be taught would be the verbs along with the adjectives and the adverbs. These are all parts of a sentence and are very crucial in learning the language. So basically, learning about the nouns, pronouns, adjectives, verbs, and adverbs would allow the students to be able to know how to form a sentence.

After that, one will be learning how to make use of all these grammar rules and how to put all the parts together in a sentence which would ultimately lead them to create an entire paragraph. As a part of the lesson plan, the teacher should also come up with speaking exercises for the students. It is only through practicing speaking the language that the students will be able to get used to talking in that language.

So these are the most basic things that a teacher can put in his lesson plan. The main objective of a language class would be to help the students be able to speak the language and also write. Of course a teacher needs to come prepared when he goes to class.
