One of the most common reasons for getting nervous is the lack of preparation. However, even those entities who spent enough time training can still feel nervous as the event comes near. It is natural especially if you are talking about big ones like the Virginia triathlons. Getting nervous is a natura reaction and can be reflective of the excitement that one feels as well.

Those who are planning for the big event has to make sure that they are well prepared for it. A triathlon is nothing like those basic marathons you join. It is more strenuous and demanding. The hours spend on the entire activity is also longer. To make sure that you are fully geared up for the event, do not forget to do the following.

Even after you receive a notice about it, you need to make extra effort to make the schedules more specific. Remember that you are dealing with three activities here. Swimming goggles, quality running shoes and comfortable biking gears are all necessary for your success.

Improve your stamina. If you think doing regular jog in the morning would suffice, then you are wrong. What you need is something more advanced than that. Remember that the event is not just all about running. You have to deal with the waters and the challenging area during biking. Improve your stamina by creating an exercise regimen that helps you enhance different aspects of your physical skills.

Monitoring of progress. Just like how you prepare for an important exam where you review some of the things you have studied the night before, monitoring your own performance in doing your exercises requires a careful eye for consideration. It helps you assess your caliber. It also tells you the areas of your training that need leveling up.
