Tandem Skydiving in Detroit

Most regions of the US have a sky diving academy, but Detroit residents must actually like getting pushed out of moving planes at high altitudes. Of course , the area actually has two different academies. Though Skydive Tecumseh is actually a bit outside of Detroit at the Al Meyers Airport, it still beckons adrenaline junkies from all over Detroit.

Skate Parks in Detroit

It may be considered a bit novel that one of the better skate parks in Detroit is in an area that has fast become famous in the last few years. The 7 Mile Skate Park located at 7 Mile and Hayes in Detroit is decently sized and has a load to give. The organization that runs it surprisingly doesn't charge skateboarders to shred and it still doesn't require pads to be worn. It does a pretty good job of accommodating everybody too , since it offers both street and vertical features to potential skaters. Considering the size, it looks very much like the designers have made an attempt to pack in as much action into the space as practical. Bet that in the future 7 Mile Road will have one or two other things to be renowned for in a few years with this skate park gaining a reputation.

Urban Ninja Free Running

Parkour fans and those who want to learn how to take their life into their own hands and feet should look into a group called the Urban Ninja's. The Urban Ninja's Metro Detroit Clan is an association of those that enjoy the sport of free running. In reality they appear to be sponsored both by the Michigan Parkour Free Running Association and the American Parkour community. Open gymnasium opportunities are available for kids and grown ups. Youth programs available for those "little ninjas" are given a modified program in order that they don't have to be faced with the same extraordinary challenges as those that take the sport seriously. For those that are prepared, Urban Ninja offers lots of other programs at different ability levels too.
