Religion has become an integral part of many people. Persons have gone to the extent of becoming educated clergy men so as to administer their seminarian work effectively. Due to this, there are advanced education programs catering for such clergy men in different universities and colleges hence interested parties can join for such accreditation. In most countries, ministry degrees have become a popular trend.

Various reasons have led to the rise in advancement in theological education in most colleges and universities. For such courses and advanced education to be a success, there is a need to examine various dynamics and issues playing part in them. Before one is ordained, there is needed to be well educated in theological work so as to have a good knowledge and interpretation of the gospel.

Another thing that has enabled these courses to be popular is the need to broaden ministerial functions. Clergy people who have gone through the training can be able to perform acts of charity successfully. Other cats besides preaching the gospel include educating people about God, running of community projects and treating the sick. All these things are important for the growth of the Christian community. Most of those who are able to run such projects are usually trained clergy men. Therefore, the training is beneficial to a large extent.

There is an increase in the number of women offering clergy work. Women have become engaged in clergy activities hence the need to advance their theological training. The Roman Catholic is a good example to the success in offering women different positions in all church hence educational advancements. Nuns are taught the doctrines of the church in all levels of theological education.

Seminarian education has paved a new era where individuals have had a way of acquiring skills and knowledge related to spreading the gospel. The students get a chance to acquire knowledge which one did not have at the start of the education. Theological education is vital especially for those who wish to join community work.

Another reason as to their popularity is the presence of external support. Such support is provided from other missionaries normally working in under developed and developing countries. There is also the congregation support and domination of expectations for persons to advance their theological education. It should be noted that clergy work receives funding from the church heads hence presence of such funds prompts clergy persons to advance their theological education.

Another reason that has caused the need for advancement in theology education is the need to have an enhanced status in education by the clergy people. Theological work needs advancement since it is wide and one may handle different congregations in most cases. Upward mobility in terms of clergy position and levels is also greatly determined by the level of education one has.

There are positive and negative results as to advancement of theological education in most case. A negative impact is the difficulty in finding the balance between theological educations and conducting clergy duties. However, a positive result is the rise in self-esteem and renewed commitment to clergy work and even their current jobs.
