Although a potent team, this cup proved to be the best part for the Stars. They stayed a force in the league till 2009, when they failed to get to the playoffs for the 1st time in numerous years.

Major League Soccer in Dallas commenced in 1996 with the Dallas Burn, a founding team of Top Football. The team became FC Dallas in 2005. The team has said on and off over the years but has never turned into a perennial powerhouse. However, football in Dallas is great to watch and the team draws many fans.
