How To Get Good At Betfair Trading - Fast

By Richard Fletcher

When it comes to getting good at trading horse races on Betfair, there are 2 key elements to getting good quickly, in my opinion.

Firstly, you need to get some experience, the more the better. If you want to get quickly good in any vocation, you have to gain a level of experience. University degrees take 3 years. Imagine if you had 3 years full time experience in one specific area of Betfair Trading. How good do you reckon you would be?

However, don't think of time in terms of chronological time, but more in terms of the number of horse races you have experience of. Aim to get to 1000 races as quickly as you can, then see how good you are when you get there.

In fact you can take in 1000 races in a month if you full time at time. Whereas someone taking in 10 races a week will take 2 years to get to the same level of experience. If you're going to do this, why not throw yourself in at the deep end and commit fully to it? No half measures here.

Secondly, what can you learn from every race? It's no good just plugging away doing the same thing time after time. You have to be constantly refining a strategy. Whether you win, lose or draw you must ask yourself what the learning experience is. Sometimes the lesson is simply not to get involved next time.

Many people blame the market for going against them when they place a trade, but the reality is that the market is telling you everything you need to know in order to be able to work out what is going on. If you're not able to work out what is going on, then do not get involved! Sometimes the most profitable course of action for a particular race is to simply not get involved.
