What are Mini Street Bikes? These are bikes that are targeted to be used by those who are too small or too young to hold the handles of a normal motorbike. Aside from that, mini street bikes are also more affordable than the normal motorbike. Unlike the normal motorcycle, the mini street bike is more petite and sleeker but it will provide its rider the same thrill as when they are riding the normal motorcycle. Most mini street bikes are the exact replica of the racing motorcycles in terms of proportion and detail as well as craftsmanship. Therefore, it is safe to say that a mini street bike also comes with all the gears that a full-scale motorcycle has including the racing tires, lightweight alloy frame, twist grip, acceleration control and disc brakes.

Mini Street bikes are considered as motorcycles' pocket version but they are also used for racing but because of their smaller sizes thy have their own tracks that are specially designed for mini street bikes' races. There are two options as to the type of mini street bike that a rider can choose to purchase in terms of the power source that they prefer, they can either choose the version that uses electrical power or the version that makes use of gas. While mini street bikes make use of rechargeable batteries as source of power, gasoline powered Mini Street bikes are equipped with two stroke internal combustion engine and can reach up to a speed of 35-50mph if the mini street bike is an open class machine.

The size of a mini street bike is about one fourth the size of a normal motorcycle. And it is one of the most popular sports in countries like Japan, Australia and Europe. Since these types of bikes are also used for racing, a type of mini street bike racing is developed in Australia which is called as "minimoto" racing. There are claims though, that this races started and originated in Italy.

Here are some safety measures tip that mini street bike riders should know:

-When racing your mini street bike, wearing the necessary riding gears like shoes, gloves, kneepad, elbow pads and helmet is important to ensure safety of the rider in the event that an accident may occur.

-It is important that you should take care not only of yourself but also take into consideration the safety of pedestrians and other motorists while driving.

-Follow necessary rules and avoid driving when you are not in the proper condition to do so like when you are drunk or you are experiencing any sickness that may hinder your capacity to drive properly.

-Storage of your mini street bike should be done properly and make sure that kids will not be able to use it without proper guidance.

-Be sure to do regular check up and maintenance of your mini street bike to make sure that those parts that are damaged will be replaced or repaired. Regular maintenance and check up should be done by a mechanic.

-To avoid accumulation of dirt and grease your dirt bike should also be cleaned regularly to avoid accumulation of grease and dirt that can potentially damage your mini street bike.
