Street Fighter Motorcycle

Nowadays, motorcycles come in different forms, styles and sizes making motorcycle enthusiasts more confused as to what type of motorcycle is most suited for them to purchase and use. Motorcycles that are designed to be ridden on pavement and street motorcycles are two of the most common; however, there are other types of motorcycles that can be new and not very familiar to a lot of people.

Classified under the sport bike type of motorcycle is the street fighter motorcycle which primarily made and customized in order to attain a motorcycle appearance which is overall aggressive. Removing the fairing of the motorcycle or the shell part that is found above the frame of the motorcycle is one of the main customization to be done for the street fighter. Decreasing air drags and providing protection to the rider against hazards caused by the wind are the main purposes for removing the motorcycle's fairing.

Other than removing the fairing of the motorcycle, changes and customization of the motorbike to make it a street fighter motorcycle include providing high and upright handlebars, making the mufflers loud and short and putting headlights that are round and large.

Motorcycle manufacturers like Ducati, Triumph and Honda have tried to produce factory built street fighter motorcycles because of the increasing popularity of street fighter motorcycles nowadays.

Street fighter motorcycles are said to be popularized by European motorcycle riders however it is believed to be inspired by Japanese motorcycles during the late 1970s and early 1980s. Before, the reason why motorcycle fairings were removed is because of the facts that young motorcycle riders during that time could not afford to continuously replace damaged fairings that is caused by frequent crashes. In order to help the riders be able to perform different stunts, it was eventually added more customization including making the headlights round and large and making handlebars upright and high.

Aside from discussing about street fighter motorcycles, it is also important that safety riding is included in this discussion. Here are some tips on how motorcycle riders can avoid accidents when driving:

-Make sure that when you try to drive a motorcycle, you are capable to do so and you have learned all the necessary information that you should know when driving.

-Even if you think that you are already an expert driver, make sure to still drive carefully and do not drive recklessly because there is still a possibility that you will meet with drivers that are reckless or those that are not very good in driving which increases your chance of meeting an accident.

-Motorcycle drivers and riders should be extra careful especially in changing or turning lanes because of the fact that motorcycles are smaller and harder to notice compared to other types of vehicles. When steering, make sure to do it clearly.

-When driving, be sure to use not only your five senses but as well as your common sense and sense of responsibility. If you think you are not in a good condition to drive, do not do so that you will put yourself at risk of experiencing untoward accident or injury.
